If you are also working out where to buy peptides in Vietnam, the vials and the water go in one cart. The table lists each fact we publish about the bottles and where to check it.

The short answer
What is in a bottle of bacteriostatic water?
Sterile water with 0.9 percent benzyl alcohol added as a preservative, which holds back the growth of bacteria in a bottle that is opened more than once.
It is a lab supply: the liquid a freeze-dried research vial is mixed with. Peptara Labs publishes no certificate of analysis for the water, and the expiry date and the in-use period are printed on each bottle by the company that made it.
Each research peptide in Vietnam that we sell already includes a bottle in its price, so these are for a spare, a restock or a bigger size. The bacteriostatic water page has more on the sizes and on storage.

On the box
Bacteriostatic water or nước cất pha tiêm?
They are different products. Nước cất pha tiêm is plain sterile water with nothing added, and bacteriostatic water, called nước kìm khuẩn in Vietnamese, carries the benzyl alcohol preservative.
| Words on the box | What it is | Preservative |
|---|---|---|
| Nước cất pha tiêm | Sterile distilled water, often in small single ampoules | None |
| Nước kìm khuẩn, bacteriostatic water | Sterile water in a bottle meant to be opened more than once | 0.9 percent benzyl alcohol |
On any box, look for the word bacteriostatic, or kìm khuẩn, and for benzyl alcohol. If neither is printed, you are holding ordinary sterile water.

Prices
How much is bacteriostatic water in Vietnam?
The bottles cost 230,000 VND for 3mL, 360,000 VND for 5mL and 480,000 VND for 10mL, which is $9, $14 and $19 in US dollars.
Each size is a regular catalog item, not a pre-order.
| Bottle | Price in VND | Price in USD | Per mL |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3mL | 230,000 VND | $9 | 76,667 VND ($3.00) |
| 5mL | 360,000 VND | $14 | 72,000 VND ($2.80) |
| 10mL | 480,000 VND | $19 | 48,000 VND ($1.90) |
The 10mL bottle by quantity
| Bottles | Each, VND | Each, USD | Line total, VND | Off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 bottle | 480,000 VND | $19 | 480,000 VND | Single price |

Storage
Keeping a bottle in Vietnam's heat
A sealed bottle sits at room temperature, so a cupboard is fine. Keep it out of direct sun, which in Saigon or Da Nang can be strong even indoors. The expiry and the in-use period printed on the label are the figures that count, so we do not repeat a number here.

Ordering
Can you order bacteriostatic water on its own?
Yes. A supplies-only order starts at $35, and 2 bottles of 10mL at 880,000 VND meet that minimum exactly.
If the cart also holds a research vial, the minimum does not apply and the water is simply added at its own price. Can you buy peptides in Vietnam and the water together? Yes, in one order. Water never counts toward the multi-vial discount on peptides. Questions first? Message us on WhatsApp.

Bacteriostatic water in Vietnam: FAQ

Can you buy bacteriostatic water at a pharmacy in Vietnam?
The sterile water Vietnamese pharmacies list as nước cất pha tiêm carries no preservative, so it is not bacteriostatic water. Look for benzyl alcohol on the box before you buy water anywhere.
How much does bacteriostatic water cost in Vietnam?
230,000 VND for 3mL, 360,000 VND for 5mL and 480,000 VND for 10mL. With 10 or more 10mL bottles in one order, each one drops to 300,000 VND.
Can I get bacteriostatic water delivered in Hanoi or Da Nang?
Yes. Water bound for Hanoi or Da Nang arrives in 1 to 3 days, tracked and free, on the same terms as an order of vials.
How fast is bacteriostatic water delivered in Ho Chi Minh City?
Water ordered by 7pm goes out with a local courier and usually lands within 1 to 2 hours, free of charge.
Can I order bacteriostatic water on its own in Vietnam?
Yes. An order of supplies alone has a $35 minimum, which 2 10mL bottles (880,000 VND) reach on their own. Put a research vial in the same cart and the minimum no longer applies.
Is nước cất pha tiêm the same as bacteriostatic water?
No. Nước cất pha tiêm is plain sterile water with no preservative, while bacteriostatic water, nước kìm khuẩn in Vietnamese, holds 0.9 percent benzyl alcohol. The boxes can look alike, so check the label words first.
