What should you check before you buy Pinealon?
Pinealon and Epitalon are different peptides. Pinealon has three amino acids, while Epitalon has four. Their similar names do not mean they have the same identity or research record.
A Pinealon certificate should establish Glu-Asp-Arg identity, along with content and purity. PubChem lists formula C15H26N6O8, molecular weight 418.40 g/mol and CAS 175175-23-2. These reference values describe the molecule; they are not measured results for this vial.

What is Pinealon?
Pinealon is a lab-made peptide of three amino acids: glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine. Its sequence is written Glu-Asp-Arg, or EDR in one-letter form. A research group in St. Petersburg, Russia has studied it in cell and animal models.

The science
What have lab studies looked at?
Cell studies examined Pinealon under oxidative stress, when unstable oxygen molecules build up and can damage cells. Researchers measured a lower build-up of reactive oxygen species and less cell death in the tested models. They also examined ERK 1/2, a cell-signaling pathway, and changes in cell growth.
The authors proposed that Pinealon may interact with the genome, the cell's set of genetic instructions. A later review described changes in gene activity and protein production in Alzheimer disease models. Computer models also explored possible DNA binding. A proposed mechanism or a computer fit does not establish the same action in people.

What is still unknown about Pinealon?
